As part of the PPI4waste project, a series of national training workshops are being offered to help building capacity in public procurement of innovation and show how this can be applied within the municipal waste sector.
The material developped for these training is available online.
One of these trainings took place on 17 January in Zagreb (Croatia). During this workshop the new Act on Public Procurement that has been recently adopted in the Republic of Croatia was discussed. The aim of the workshop was to present novelties related to innovation in public procurement and to identify potential solutions in the implementation process.
Another training will be organised (date to be announced) in Frankfurt (Germany) and will focus on how public procurers can apply innovation to their waste management activities. After this workshop participants will be equipped with knowledge of up-to-date policy developments in waste management and will be aware of best practice in implementing Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI) in the context of waste and resource efficiency.
Trainings will also be held in Spain and Sweden.
